The celebrations keep coming for bride-to-be Bozoma Saint John.
Just a week after The Real Housewives of Beverly Hillsstar, 49, was "bride-napped" and whisked away to the private island of Ambergris Cay in Turks and Caicos for a surprise bachelorette getaway, her closest girlfriends celebrated with her again for her bridal shower on Sunday, May 24, in Los Angeles at the rooftop restaurant Grandmaster Recorders.
"After the 'bride-napping,' I honestly should’ve known my friends and family were capable of anything. But even though I knew a shower was happening, I had no idea how thoughtful, layered, and personal every detail would feel," Saint John exclusively tells PEOPLE. "What made it feel especially 'me' was that it wasn’t just beautiful… it was intentional."

She continues, "The room was full of glamour, laughter, storytelling, incredible fashion, and a whole lot of personality. But underneath all of that was something even more meaningful: legacy, friendship, culture, joy, and love."
Guests, who were encouraged to "dress to impress," enjoyed IBest Wines and Ghanaian-inspired dishes prepared by Kōzo Restaurant, the celebrated Afro-Asian dining concept from Accra and Kigali making its U.S. debut in Los Angeles this summer. Executive Chef Simon Montana led the menu, with cocktails crafted by Julian Cox.

Canapés included a Wagyu beef gyoza with caramelized onion miso and ponzu pearls, an Afro roll uramaki with charcoal-grilled white fish and kelewele, and an Akabanga beef spring roll with Rwandan glaze. Bowl selections included wood-fired beef sirloin with smoky jollof rice, Piri Piri chicken thighs with caramelized kelewele and chimichurri, and coal-grilled scallops with creamy egusi velouté and truffle essence. Served for dessert was the signature Miss Kōzo, a whipped cheesecake cream with warm cookie crumble and raspberry preserve. Cocktails included the Afiba Heat spiced margarita, the Watson Punch, a West African-inspired winter punch, and the Bold by Design (BBD), a full-bodied Old Fashioned made with rye whiskey.
The cuisine was "incredibly special" to Saint John, who was born in the United States to Ghanaian parents and spent part of her childhood living in Ghana. She became a Ghanaian citizen in 2022, per Ebony.

"Food is such an important part of how we celebrate, connect, and honor home," she tells PEOPLE. "It brought this warmth and cultural richness to the day that made me emotional. And the custom cocktails were such a fun reflection of my personality too… elevated, playful, a little extra."
"It felt like the people who know me best created an experience that reflected every version of me at once… the romantic, the hostess, the Ghanaian girl, the baddie, the dreamer, the woman who fought hard to believe in love again. And that meant everything to me," the Bravo star adds.

For the special day, Saint John — who will marry her fiancé, Keely Watson, in two wedding ceremonies this year — wore a white corset-style bustier layered over a long-sleeved lace top with a matching fitted mini skirt from Sydney Lane. Just as stylish were her Sara Lilas Massimo stilettos.
She accessorized with sparkling jewelry designed by Melinda Maria and carried a Chanel purse. Her glamorous makeup was applied by celebrity makeup artist Tyshala Wright while her updo was styled by Jadah Blue, who used Eve by Boz products.

"Honestly, my favorite part was looking around the room and realizing that every person there represented a different chapter of my life… family, sisterhood, grief, growth, reinvention, joy, survival, love," Saint John shares. "There was something incredibly emotional about being celebrated not just as a bride, but as a woman who has lived a full life to arrive at this moment."
She continues, "I’ve spent so many years being strong for other people, carrying responsibilities, rebuilding after heartbreak, showing up for everyone around me… so to be surrounded by people who poured love back into me so intentionally was overwhelming in the most beautiful way. I felt deeply seen. Deeply loved. And incredibly grateful."
