The exchange occurred on the Dec. 9 episode of the talk show in which Cohen and his celebrity guests throw back cocktails and dive into juicy stories from their Hollywood careers, as well as the latest goings-on in pop and political culture. With *Real Housewives of Salt Lake City *star Heather Gay by his side, Rogers appeared caught off-guard when Cohen threw a curveball his way during the episode's after-show.
"You and Bowen owe me a book," he proclaimed to Rogers, who responded, "Yes, we do owe you a book." Cohen then goaded his guest, "And how's that coming?"
Rogers proceded to explain that the book in question, *The Rules of Culture, Volume 1*, which he and Yang were contracted to write for Cohen's eponymous imprint at the Crown Publishing Group last January, was "going to be great," especially since he and the recently departed *SNL *star are "going to have a lot more time to work on it soon."********

"It was nothing deep," Cohen clarified, reiterating Rogers' earlier point: "Now that Bowen's not on *SNL*, I think they're going to have some more time on their hands."
Cohen further enthused about the forthcoming book, which is described as a "a manifesto on culture and a *Guinness World Records Book *for queer people and straight girls who 'get it.'" The producer described the pair's proposal as "amazing. I love them. So yeah, I don't — I was confused by that. I didn't watch any of those TikToks, but I know that they existed. I didn't understand it."
Rogers addressed the speculation that arose in the wake of the interaction on a Jan. 7 episode of *Las Culturistas*.
"He is a friend. He is now our boss. That's the extent of it," the comedian said. "Andy and I are having fun. We do owe him a book. That's why he said that to us. That's why I said we were going to have time to work on it soon. Thinly veiled allusion to the fact that we now have a lot more time to work on it. Like, there is no drama or tension between Andy Cohen and I."**
