If CBS is your go-to network for scripted series, prepare to say goodbye to a pair of recent offering.
The TV corporation announced on Friday, March 27 that it's canceling both Watson and DMV, Variety reports.
The Morris Chestnut-starring Watson premiered in January 2025 and will soon conclude its second season, while the workplace-comedy DMV launched on small screens October 2025 and will finish up its first season around the same time.
Deadline confirmed Friday that the series finales of Watson and DMV will air on May 3 and May 11, respectively. Watson reportedly saw its ratings decline when it moved to Mondays in the fall, and was eventually sent back to Sundays this spring. DMV, meanwhile, has seen steady broadcast ratings, per Deadline, but its delayed multi-platform viewing has declined.

The cancellation news arrives after CBS announced a number of renewals for its 2026-27 season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Here's the list:
Marshals
George & Mandy’s First Marriage
Tracker
Matlock
Elsbeth
Fire Country
NCIS: Origins
NCIS Sydney
Boston Blue
Sheriff Country
Ghosts
Survivor
The Amazing Race
The Yellowstone spinoff Marshals landed one of the quickest renewals ever, after only two episodes, Deadline reports. The show follows Kayce (Luke Grimes), the youngest Dutton child of John Dutton (Kevin Costner) as he tries to rebuild his life after the death of his wife, Monica (Kelsey Asbille). Kayce has joined the U.S. Marshals and is learning how to be a team player — not the lone wolf he’s used to operating as.
Another Taylor Sheridan series that recently took off to smashing success is The Madison. Its second season has already been filmed, and star Michelle Pfeiffer recently teased what's to come — for all the fans out there who are dying to know.
“It’s after the initial stage of raw grief passes, and some time has gone by,” she told Variety in an article published March 21. “It’s the messy and profound rebuilding of everything that you knew after everything that you knew has fallen apart and what that looks like.”
