Jimmy Kimmel is enjoying his summer break from hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live! and has tapped several celebrity guest hosts to take his place behind the desk. For the week of July 19, Colman Domingo served as the late-night host, and he drew in higher ratings than Kimmel’s NBC counterpart, Jimmy Fallon.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! averaged 1.574 million total viewers and 203,000 adults in the 18-49 demo with Domingo at the helm. Meanwhile, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon brought in an average of 1.42 million total viewers and 168,000 in the adults demo.

Compared to the previous week, where Ike Barinholtz hosted Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the gap between the two shows increased from 123,000 to 154,000 total viewers, and 3,000 to 35,000 demo viewers. Kimmel’s show’s total viewer average was the same as the previous week, but it saw a 23% increase in demo viewers with Domingo hosting. Fallon dipped 2% in total viewers and gained 4% in key demo viewers compared to the week prior.

And while Jimmy Kimmel Live! is still beating Fallon in the ratings, the summer numbers are well below what Kimmel usually rakes in when he’s at the desk. Both shows aired four new episodes and one repeat episode during the week of July 19.

In the 12:35 a.m. slot, Nightline on ABC averaged 885,000 total viewers for the week of July 19, a 14% increase from the previous week. In key demo viewers, the series averaged 113,000 adults, an increase of 49% compared to the week prior.

Late Night With Seth Meyers on NBC had an average 924,000 total viewers and 97,000 adult demo viewers, falling flat in total viewers and down 2% in demo viewers.

His two shows aired repeats for the week of July 19. Comics Unleashed With Byron Allen brought in an average of 596,000 total viewers and 62,000 demo viewers across two episodes in the 11:35 time slot.
