The cast of Euphoria gathered at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles this week to celebrate the hit show’s official premiere, which kicks off its third season this Sunday. But while actress Alexa Demie’s character, Maddy Perez, is well-known for her blue eyeshadow and contoured lip combos, the star instead opted to give us a masterclass in “clean girl” beauty. Will the rumored final season of the show take Euphoria makeup in a more subtle direction?

Demie took a different approach to her red-carpet glam for the evening, opting for fresh-faced makeup in shades of peach and bronze. She paired a natural pink your-lips-but-better lip stain with a peach blush, keeping her eyeshadow soft with what appears to be a single taupe shade used on the lid. And to complete the look, the star paired fluttery, curled lashes with brows that take a cue from the season’s thin brow trend. Instead of her usual slicked-back style, Demie wore her hair in loose ringlets.

Euphoria’s makeup artist, Donni Davy, previously spoke with The Looker about what fans can expect from the new episodes. “Season three definitely has glam from head to toe. Just because there wasn’t a lot of makeup in the trailer doesn’t mean it’s not gonna be there,” she confirms. “It’s different; it’s a lot more emphasis on the lips and eyes, not just eyes and bare skin. It’s kind of the full deal. It’s glam from head to toe. It’s like a campaign against the ‘clean girl’ [trend].”

So while Demie is embracing the “clean girl” trend in her real life, Maddy is set to serve as major makeup inspiration once again. For what it’s worth, the actress has not confirmed the beauty team she worked with for Euphoria’s premiere (though we suspect she may have flexed her own artistic muscles to create this look), but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more information as it’s released.
