Emily Blunt revealed Meryl Streep danced to "Mamma Mia" with her and John Krasinski's moms at their wedding
Streep joked she wanted to "hurl herself into the lake" during the moment, but still joined in on the fun
The couple wed in 2010 at George Clooney's Lake Como estate after he insisted they use the venue
Meryl Streep was a dancing queen when she attended Emily Blunt and John Krasinski's wedding back in 2010.
On Tuesday, May 26, Blunt, 43, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and spoke with the comedian, 58, about her wedding to John Krasinski. Kimmel began by mentioning that everyone was "freaking out" about Streep being at the wedding, which led Blunt to share that her family hadn't met the actress prior to the event.
"She worked with John as well, but I don’t think my family had met her," said Blunt, who starred alongside Streep in 2006's The Devil Wears Prada. Her husband, meanwhile, worked with the 76-year-old in 2009's It's Complicated.
"And do you remember on the second day [of the wedding], we went out on the boat on Lake Como and we had this kind of boat ride with 60 people on it?"

“[The DJ on the boat] would sing the songs in half-Italian, half-English," recalled Blunt. "And he started playing 'Mamma Mia,' and my mom and John’s mom started ominously dancing towards Meryl."
Although Streep danced the song away with Blunt and Krasinski's mom, she later admitted that it wasn't amongst her favorite moments from the wedding.

“She indulged them. But I said to her afterwards, I was like, ‘What did you feel when they came for you?’ and she went, ‘I wanted to hurl myself into the lake,' " joked Blunt.
“[But] she did it! We have pictures of them all dancing together. It was amazing,” added the star.

Streep famously starred as Donna in the 2008 movie musical Mamma Mia!. She reprised her role in its 2018 sequel Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.
Krasinski and Blunt first met at a Los Angeles restaurant in 2008 and wed two years later. They've since welcomed daughters Hazel, 12, and Violet, 9.
On July 10, 2010, the couple tied the knot during a quiet ceremony at George Clooney's estate in Lake Como, Italy. Blunt wore a custom gown by Marchesa, accessorized with a three-carat round diamond and platinum ring from Neil Lane.
Krasinski later revealed to Elle in 2016 how Clooney offered up his estate to the couple.
"Only on the fourth ask did I say yes. Because the first three times I thought, There's no way he is serious," he shared. "But I started to see his feelings get hurt. I actually hurt George Clooney's feelings."
