Jon Hamm and John Slattery are teaming up again — this time, as themselves

The actors play themselves in Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass, a new comedy that premiered at Sundance

They most famously worked together in Mad Men, which ended its seven-season run in 2015

Jon Hamm and John Slattery are back together in a new comedy — and the former Mad Men co-stars apparently had a lot of fun filming it.

Hamm, 54, and Slattery, 63, play themselves in Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass, which revolves around a bride-to-be (played by Zoey Deutch) who seeks revenge on her fiancé (Michael Cassidy) after he uses his celebrity “hall pass" by sleeping with another woman.

The film premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival.

In a Sunday Jan. 25 interview with E! News, Slattery said, "It’s always super fun" reconnecting with his Mad Men co-star, adding, "No overt communication necessary.”

It was Hamm who convinced Slattery to take the role, he told E!.

“He actually called me about this and said, ‘David Wayne wrote a script—he wants to send it to you,’” Slattery told the outlet. “I said, ‘Send it.’ I was in Budapest, it was the middle of the night, I was jetlagged. He sent me the script and I read it at 1 in the morning, then called him back immediately and said, ‘I’m in.’”

Slattery said the two have a “similar sense of humor."

“I thought it was as funny as he did, and here we are," Slattery said of the script.

Hamm and Slattery previously collaborated on the 2022 comedy Confess, Fletch and the 2023 true-crime comedy Maggie Moore(s), in which Hamm’s lonely cop investigates the murders of two women with the same name. Slattery directed Hamm in Maggie Moore(s), a process he describes as easy. "Jon gives you so many options and colors," Slattery explained to PEOPLE in 2023.

They began their working relationship on Mad Men, which starred Hamm as ad executive Don Draper.

Slattery played Roger Sterling — co-founder of the firm at which Draper works — in the show.

The show ended its seven-season run in 2015, with Slattery telling E! he's not interested in revisiting the role. “I’m not looking to do Mad Men again,” he said. “I’m lucky enough to have had that. It’s fun to see Hamm, and we see each other away from work, so we’re good.”

He added of Hamm: “We’ve done a bunch of stuff together after [Mad Men.] You can’t do everything together. I mean, we have such a good time, but you gotta do other stuff.”
