Prince William is reportedly keeping a close eye on Prince Harry amid his and Meghan Markle’s return to the UK. According to multiple reports, the Sussexes flew from California to Birmingham on August 26.

Their return reportedly caught William off guard, with the brothers’ already strained relationship adding further intrigue. The pair are widely believed to remain estranged and have reportedly had little to no contact with each other.

Sources close to Us Weekly revealed that Prince William is keeping tabs on Prince Harry’s moves amid his return to the UK with Meghan Markle. According to a source, the Sussexes’ decision came as a “shock” to the Waleses. While they are still “processing” the move, William and Kate Middleton are reportedly waiting to see what the Sussexes do next.

Former royal butler Grant Harrold shared: “William will be watching his brother very closely and trying to work out what his game plan is.” Harrold added that he believes William is still “furious” with Harry and is “not happy” about the Sussexes’ return to the UK.

The aforementioned source clarified that although there is a desire for the brothers to reconcile, a reunion between them is currently off the table.

The Prince of Wales reportedly does not view Harry’s return to the UK as an automatic sign that their relationship has improved. If the brothers are to repair their fractured relationship, it will reportedly be on William’s terms. The source explained that William is annoyed by the assumption that Harry and Meghan’s move back to Britain will somehow magically resolve their issues.

Meanwhile, royal experts have suggested that Harry and Meghan may have been planning their return for some time. Royal historian Marlene Koenig speculated that the Sussexes may have finalized some important details when they met King Charles at his private residence, Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, on July 10.

However, the royal source claimed that Charles was unaware of the Sussexes’ plans and remains “cautious” about their intentions.
