Samara Weaving has been showing off her baby bump, including at a recent screening of Ready or Not: 2 Here I Come

She used a famous musician as her "north star" when it comes to maternity fashion

The actress is expecting her first child with husband Jimmy Warden, whom she married in 2019

Samara Weaving is expecting her first child and has been delivering some incredible looks throughout her pregnancy.

The Ready or Not 2: Here I Come star, 34, attended Clarins Night of Extra at The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, on Friday, March 20, where she gave PEOPLE some exclusive insight about which celebrity is on her maternity fashion inspiration board.

"I think for me, I really wanted to avoid doing things that felt maternal," Weaving said. "I wanted to still feel [like] me and still feel cool."

"And I really love what Rihanna does when she's pregnant. So I was like, 'That's a north star,' " she added.

While at the event, Weaving also gave a shout-out to her "incredible stylist" Jordan Dorso for being willing to work with her to find stylish items while she's pregnant. For the evening, the actress wore a glam, off-the-shoulder black gown and stilettos.

At Ready or Not 2: Here I Come's Los Angeles screening on March 16, Weaving wore a green dress with a cut-out around her stomach, showing off her baby bump in the process.

"It's hard because you have a new body that's changing every week, and you have no control," the actress explained. "So we're trying to find outfits that accentuate what we want to accentuate and kind of hide what we want to hide. And he's just been an absolute dream to work with, that I would literally be lost without him."

Weaving announced she was expecting her first baby with her husband, Jimmy Warden, on Instagram in December 2025.

"Ready or Not: Here I Come 😏," she captioned the carousel. It included photos of Weaving rocking a brown sparkly dress and another lacy black outfit.

Last year, Weaving and Warden, 34, also spoke to PEOPLE about working on her husband's directorial debut, Borderline, together. "When I'm away or if Jimmy's away shooting, we try not to go two and a half or three weeks [without seeing each other]," she shared about maintaining a strong relationship amid busy schedules.

"We do daily jokes too," he said. "Like, voice notes of just jokes."

"We go to bed annoyed, and then we wake up, and we're like, 'Why were we annoyed?' " he added. "A lot of people talk it out until it's 2:00 a.m. and we're just like, 'No, let's just go to bed.' "

The couple tied the knot in 2019. They first met on the set of 2017's The Babysitter.

Weaving is now reprising her role as Grace Le Domas in the sequel to 2019's Ready or Not. The new horror film also stars Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Elijah Wood and David Cronenberg.
