Kyle Cooke is shutting down rumors that he and ex Amanda Batula faked their wedding.

On Monday, May 25, the Summer House star and Loverboy founder, 43, responded to a since-deleted post from a fan on Threads speculating about the pair's marriage.

"You got me," he wrote. "The only actor with a MBA, a SBA loan, 2 businesses, and an acquired set of skills that lets me recall my scripted lines from memory when drunk, even blackout. I’m a jack of all trades which is exactly why I’m capable of pulling off such trickery."

"Oh wait here’s a pic of us at Hillsborough town hall," he continued. "Respectfully, please take off your tinfoil hat."

He included a photo of himself and Batula, 34, smiling while sitting together at a table at the Hillsborough Town Hall in New Jersey. Cooke can be seen holding a pen, seemingly poised to sign a marriage document.

The former couple — who announced their separation in January — tied the knot on Sept. 25, 2021, in Batula's parents' backyard in her hometown of Hillsborough. After getting engaged in 2018, they had planned to wed in September 2020. However, the COVID-19 pandemic postponed their plans, leading to the intimate outdoor ceremony a year later.

Several of their Summer House costars attended the nuptials, including Lindsay Hubbard, Danielle Olivera, Luke Gulbranson and Ciara Miller.

Cooke and Batula announced their separation after four years of marriage on Jan. 19, sharing a joint statement on their Instagram Stories.

“After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple,” they wrote. “We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing.”

“It feels ironic to ask for privacy during this time since we’ve always tried to be open and honest about our relationship, but your kindness and respect will go a long way as we try to navigate our next chapter,” their statement concluded.

Two months later, after weeks of romance rumors, Batula and Summer House costar West Wilson confirmed they were romantically involved in a shared statement on their Instagram Stories on March 31.

"We've seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposely hide anything," they wrote. "Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we need a little space to process things privately before speaking on it."

"We've shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected," they continued. "Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care."

Their statement concluded: "As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling. We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless. We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this."

Cooke and Batula discussed the end of their marriage in the premiere episode of the Summer House spin-off In the City, which aired on May 19. In the episode's opening scene, filmed by Bravo cameras on April 9 — just days after Batula and Wilson went public with their relationship — Batula visited Cooke at his New York City apartment.

While they chatted, Cooke told Batula that she looked like she was "done with" him during the filming of Summer House's 10th season before their split. She replied that it's "so frustrating" to hear that, because "I gave our relationship everything I had, because I wanted the relationship to work so badly."

"The idea of not existing with you in my life was so impossible for me to wrap my head around," Batula said while tearing up. "It's what made it so hard to like call it quits."

She continued: "I was so afraid that once we ended things, we would just be out of each other's lives forever, and like I couldn't handle that."

After Cooke shared that he had moments during the summer and fall when he thought, "Damn, she wasn't just one foot out, she was fully out the door," Batula denied what he was saying, explaining that she "was done to an extent."

"I was tired, I had nothing left in me to fight," she said. "But I was still trying to give it everything I had."

Later in the conversation, Cooke told Batula that, despite their split, he's "still trying to be a good friend" to her. "I worry about you, I worry about your mental health, I worry about you," he said.

Cooke added, "Just know that, like, everything that happens here forward is because I care about you. It's not because I'm like, 'Oh, maybe we rekindle things.' It's because I care."

In the City season 1 airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo and is available to stream the next day on Peacock.
