- Sunny Hostin is a big fan of John Travolta's bold new look.

- The *Propeller* director has sported a collection of berets while at the Cannes Film Festival.

- Hostin swooned over his wardrobe choices on Tuesday's episode of *The View* and picked out her favorite of his berets thus far.

Sunny Hostin’s got chills, they’re multiplyin’ after seeing John Travolta’s new look.

The 72-year-old actor has recently made headlines for sporting a close-cropped beard, thin-rimmed glasses, and a collection of slouching berets while promoting his directorial debut, *Propeller One-Way Night Coach,* at the Cannes Film Festival. And, as it turns out, Hostin is a big fan of his new fashion era.

“I love it,” the legal expert confessed on Tuesday’s episode of *The View*, gazing dreamily at the photo of Travolta displayed on a screen behind the Hot Topics table and placing her hands over her heart. “I’m swooning.”

She continued, “I think he looks [fantastic]. Well, he can’t look bad, but… He just looks *good*.”

There is one beret in particular that Hostin clearly loves most out of all the ones we’ve seen thus far. “The cream just threw it over the edge for me!” she exclaimed. “The cream matches with the tie! Sharp!”

Travolta recently opened up about the secret and sentimental meaning behind his wardrobe choice, telling CNN that he’s using fashion as a way to forever preserve his memories from his time at the festival.

"I've been around for over 50 years doing movies, but I can't tell, when I look back, the difference between the events," he explained. “I said, 'I'm a director this time. You're an actor, play the part of a director, look like an old-school director.’”

The *Grease* star revealed that he looked up pictures for inspiration and saw that all of them were wearing “berets, and the glasses, and I thought, 'That's what I'm doing. I'm doing an homage to being a director. So I'm going to play the part of being a director.'"

Now, when Travolta looks back at his directorial debut, “I’ll know — 'Oh, that was *Propeller One-Way Night Coach*, that was Cannes, that's when I won the Palme d'Or,' and I'll have a vividness of it."

On *The View*, Hostin noted that she found it particularly interesting that while Travolta directed *Propeller One-Way Night Coach*, he’s still leaning on his acting sensibilities and playing the role of a director at the festival.

“But, you know, that doesn’t make you a director just because you have a hat on your head,” Joy Behar replied. To which Hostin responded, “But he is a director here and… He just looks good.”

Moderator Whoopi Goldberg concluded the segment by sharing her appreciation for Travolta. “I will tell you this about John. John has always been a great dresser. He’s always had style,” she said. “He’s a wonderful dancer, and he’s actually a really great human being.”

*The View *airs weekdays on ABC.
