Tovah Feldshuh revealed that season 3 of Nobody Wants This includes scenes filmed in New York

Feldshuh praised the writing for the Netflix show, and said she plans to return if it is renewed for a fourth season

The actress returns in her new film Tuner, which follows a gifted young piano tuner whose heightened sense of hearing draws the attention of criminals

Tovah Feldshuh has high expectations for Nobody Wants Thisseason 3.

The 77-year-old actress revealed what fans can expect for the third season of the hit Netflix show — which also stars Adam Brody and Kristen Bell — and how New York plays a role in the new season.

“The writing is better than ever. We conclude— they're concluding the filming in New York today,” Feldshuh told PEOPLE at the Tuner special screening on May 20.

“It's the last montage shot. So, there will be some New York footage, I can tell you that,” she added.

While she didn’t elaborate too much on what happens to the characters in New York, the Broadway star, who plays the protective, traditional, and sometimes controlling mother of Brody’s character Noah, said there is a lot she is looking forward to.

“We'll go on in the fall, and I just hope they pick us up for season four because if they do, I'm in,” she said.

When asked about her thoughts on how the show has grown in popularity from the first season, she praised the writing from co-showrunners and executive producers Bruce Eric Kaplan and Jenny Connor, along with her castmates for their work.

“We are in debt to Bruce Eric Kaplan, to Jenny Connor, and of course to our beloved Erin Foster and naturally my son, ‘Hot Rabbi’ Adam Brody and the great Kristen Bell,” she said. “These are great souls, as is Justine Lupe and Tim Simmons and Jackie Tohn.”

Feldshuh isn’t the only one who has teased the new season. Stephanie Faracy, who plays Lynn on the show, hinted that fans will get a “dynamic” new season at the premiere of her new series, Scarpetta, in New York City on March 3.

"I think a lot of great things the fans have been wanting, and different things they hope are happening," Faracy said. "I think there's a lot more relationships, and I think it'll be … it's a dynamic year coming. I think the fans are going to be excited."

She added that she loves Lynn "just being in there stirring things up and commenting" and "maybe in time she's going to find her way, but until then she's happy to believe by just being happy and silly in a certain way."

Faracy elaborated, "That's like a woman that's not all the way in reality, but goes ‘I want my dream, and I want it the way I want it, and the girls love me, and he's not gay. Other than that, tell me anything you want.' She's just not going to play the game — only the way she wants."

Tuner releases in theaters nationwide on May 29. The first two seasons of Nobody Wants This is streaming on Netflix.
