- - Tyler Braden Postpones Sold-Out Minneapolis Show to July 31 Due to Winter Storm Safety Concerns

Country artist Tyler Braden has been forced to postpone his upcoming sold-out show in Minneapolis, originally scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Fine Line. The announcement comes in the wake of Winter Storm Fern, which devastated many states, including his community in Nashville, Tennessee.

The singer/songwriter revealed his decision to reschedule his concert in a post on Instagram on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Braden also shared some of the damage left from the storm that has already claimed dozens of lives across the country.

“This message is for Minneapolis, where we have a show scheduled this Thursday, Jan. 29, at Fine Line,” Braden, 31, began his message. “We’ve played there before. We’re very excited to come out, but I’m not sure if you’re aware of our situation here in Tennessee. The snowstorm has brought record ice accumulation. We’re not really prepared for that kind of thing. So we’ve had to make the unfortunate decision to postpone the show….”

The Show Was Supposed to Be the Start of His 2026 Headlining Tour

Braden’s concert in Minneapolis was supposed to be the launch date for his headlining Devil and a Prayer tour, named after his debut album. He emphasized that he was “super excited to get out there,” and “bummed” he wasn’t able to perform the show as planned.

The Decision to Postpone the Concert Has Nothing to Do With the Current Political Climate

With the recent political climate in Minnesota and news surrounding the deaths of Rennée Good and Alex Pretti, Braden insisted that his decision to move his concert to another date was solely based on the current weather conditions in the South.

“I do want to say, I’m not here to act oblivious or ignorant or naive of the situation you have going on in your own beloved city, but this decision is centered around the safety of my crew and their individual travel arrangements to get to us so we can get to you,” he promised. “The primary and secondary streets here are getting better by the day, but the side streets that everyone uses to get out of the neighborhoods are still pretty rough, and I can’t put our guys in that situation.”

Braden’s next show as part of his Devil and a Prayer tour is currently scheduled for Friday, Jan. 30, in Milwaukee, WI.

He said, “If the roads continue to improve as it's forecasted, then hopefully we’ll make it out to Milwaukee and Indianapolis Friday and Saturday. It’s looking OK for now.”

The Concert Has Been Moved to July 31, 2026

Alongside his video message, Braden included the caption: “These announcements are always so tough, so excuse my misspeaking. We will definitely be back on July 31st. I’m so sorry to anyone that made arrangements to be there, but there are so many things that go into these decisions, and ultimately, the safety of my band and crew must come first. Love you all, and I’ll see you soon.”

As noted in his caption, Braden’s rescheduled Minneapolis show will now take place on July 31, 2026, giving fans a chance to see the sold-out performance later this summer.
