Amy Slaton has found new love with husband Brian Lovvorn.
The 1000-lb. Sisters star met Lovvorn in 2024, one year after her ex-husband, Michael Halterman, filed for divorce in March 2023. Slaton shares two sons, Gage and Glenn, with Halterman.
After dating for five months, Lovvorn proposed to Slaton during late 2024, and they got married on Halloween in 2025.
"Getting married means that Iâm no longer lonely because Iâve discovered my soulmate, Brian, is my happy place!" Slaton told PEOPLE at the time of her nuptials, describing him as the âsweetest, most caring person."
She added, âNot only did he capture my heart, but he also won over my boys, and not many men out there will accept a single mom with two energetic boys!"
So, who is Amy Slatonâs husband? Hereâs everything to know about Brian Lovvorn and his relationship with the reality star.

Lovvorn was born on Dec. 26, 1973, to parents Sandra and Odis. He has a brother, Eric, with whom he grew up in Madisonville, Ky.
He's also a sports journalist, having worked for local newspaper The Messenger from 1999 to 2006. He first started on the obituary desk and then became the sports editor, ultimately returning to the newspaper in December 2023.
"I want to make the paper as local as I can," he said at the time. "Our local athletes work hard to compete and Iâll work hard to publicize their stories ... Iâve said I hope sports writing is like riding a bike, because 17 years is a long time to be away from it.â
As well as covering sports in his work, Lovvorn enjoys being active. When they got married, Slaton told PEOPLE, âI have a husband who will go outside and play sports with my boys!"

The two met for the first time at a 2024 rock concert. In the season 7 1000-lb. Sisters premiere, which aired later that year, Slaton said, âWe were in the mosh pit and we were talking and singing and stuff. And we went to go get street tacos. And we havenât been apart since.â
On their second date, the couple got matching tattoos of Jack Skellingtonâs head from The Nightmare Before Christmas, which read, "Scary love."
They became an official couple in June 2024. To celebrate one year together, Slaton posted photos of them together at the Discovery Park of America in Union City, Tenn., with the caption, âHappy 1 year anniversary baby!! One year down a lifetime to go!!â

The couple got engaged in late 2024 after being together for less than six months. Lovvorn proposed inside the padded room of Henderson Hauntsâ haunted house in Henderson, Ky., with Slaton's sisters, Tammy and Misty, there to witness the moment.
Lovvorn popped the question with a gothic, heart-shaped ring, telling Slaton, âMy love for you is crazy, itâs scary how compatible we are.â
âOriginally, he slipped a green apple Ring Pop on my finger while I was asleep, about two weeks into our relationship," Slaton told PEOPLE at the time. "I was shocked at first, and I said yes but only if the real proposal was in a haunted house on Halloween."
She added, âI'll be able to call him my husband and get to spend the rest of my life with him. Our engagement life may be short, but our marriage will last an eternity!"

At the reception, the couple shared a âspecialâ first dance. They then dined on barbecue pork and country-fried steak, as well as a geode-style wedding cake and cupcakes in three flavors.
âGetting married is a promise to spend the rest of our days trying to make each otherâs days as good as they can be, whatever that means and at any given time,â Lovvorn told PEOPLE at the time.

Slaton and Lovvorn were subsequently arrested and charged with illegal possession of schedule I, illegal possession of schedule IV and two counts of child endangerment, as Gage and Glenn were with them. The boys were placed in a family memberâs custody.
In December 2024, Slaton and Lovvorn both pleaded guilty to one count of simple possession of marijuana and one count of simple possession of mushrooms. The child endangerment charges were dismissed.
The coupleâs plea deal involved them paying a $1,000 fine and completing a drug and alcohol assessment and state-certified parenting class. They were also given two years of probation and were banned from Tennessee Safari Park.
